November's college football schedule opens with a MAC tripleheader on Tuesday night

The college football calendar has turned to November and also brings with it the return of midweek MACtion on Tuesday, Nov. 2. Week 10 of the season gets started with a tripleheader courtesy of the Mid-American Conference, including a big rivalry game and a key divisional contest.

So if you're wondering "What college football games are on today?" know this: There are three involving FBS teams scheduled for today, Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Ball State at Akron, 7 p.m. on CBSSN
It's been a few years since these nearby schools have faced each other and Akron is currently enjoying a two-game winning streak over Ball State. The Cardinals need a win to keep pace with Northern Illinois for first place in the MAC West Division while the Zips are hoping to show more progress in head coach Tom Arth's third season.

Eastern Michigan at Toledo, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2
These two teams are part of the five-team logjam for second place in the MAC West behind undefeated Northern Illinois. A win would keep any division title hopes alive and Eastern Michigan also needs just one more victory to become bowl eligible (Toledo needs two).

Miami (Ohio) at Ohio, 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU
It's the 97th edition of the "Battle of the Bricks" between Miami and Ohio. It didn't take place last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic so the RedHawks come to Athens with their two-game winning streak over the Bobcats. Miami also is the defending MAC champion and is currently tied for first in the MAC East standings with Kent State.
